Little Humans Abroad (“I”, “me”, “my”) is the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through littlehumansabroad.com This policy explains what I collect, why, the legal basis for it, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights you have. Information I collect

  • Contact details: your name and email address when you download the free guide or subscribe to emails.

  • Order details: name, email, billing information, and purchase history when you buy a product or book a session.

  • Booking details: any information you choose to share when booking or during a 1:1 session.

  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and analytics.

Why I collect it and the legal basis

Under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), I must have a lawful basis for using your data. I rely on the following:

  • To deliver the products and sessions you buy — basis: performance of a contract.

  • To send the free guide and marketing emails — basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

  • To run, secure, and improve the website and analytics — basis: my legitimate interests in operating a functioning business, balanced against your rights.

  • To meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations — basis: legal obligation.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted providers who help me run the business, and only as needed:

  • Website and store platform: Squarespace

  • Payment processing: Stripe — I do not store your full card details.

  • Email and marketing: Squarespace

  • Appointment scheduling: Acuity Scheduling

How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Order and tax records are kept for 07 years to meet legal obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. Under GDPR these include the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you.

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).

  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.

  • Receive your data in a portable format.

  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

Your rights if you are in the United States

Little Humans Abroad does not sell your personal information for money. If you wish to opt out of any sharing for advertising purposes, or to exercise any other right, contact me at the email above and I will respond as required by law. I will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children’s privacy

My products and sessions are intended for parents and caregivers, not for children, and the website is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where you choose to share information about your child with me (for example when describing your situation), it is used only to provide the support you have requested and is treated as sensitive. If you believe a child has provided me personal information directly, contact me and I will delete it.
